Synopsis of CSCTL

Many teachers still focus exclusively on content-centered teaching; they still leave some children behind or allow some children to fall through the cracks.

In response to a survey, 97% of teachers in New York State believe that teachers should engage students (especially underprivileged students) in learning strategies. However, many teachers do not learn about strategies. They need a nudge from leaders to unleash their strategy teaching skills. This document is the starting point in that journey.
