NYITE offers professional development services for k-12 grade level teachers engaging teachers in learning about students’ interests and/or how students’ interests relate to their experiences and learning achievements.

NYITE offers comprehensive training programs designed specifically to engage and help teachers develop a deeper understanding of student interest. These programs are tailored to provide educators with effective strategies and tools that can enhance their teaching practices. Furthermore, these programs are focused on equipping teachers with the knowledge to apply Content and Strategy Centered Teaching and Learning (CSCTL) skills and help their students learn effectively. By engaging in these training sessions, teachers will not only gain insights into the diverse interests of their students but also be empowered to create more engaging and supportive learning tasks that foster student success and enthusiasm for learning. Through collaborative activities and hands-on experiences, teachers learn to feel confident/competent to implement their new skills effectively in the classroom.
